Peaches Update
We are finishing the engine cowl and fuselage skins. Meanwhile, the team is looking at mounting a DR-109 wing (of the
original design) to get flying soonest. This will happen in parallel with the high performance new Hybrid wing. This will
shrink the overall timeline to offering kits and plans a LOT.
DR-109 Plans Status
Plans are ready. Shipping & handling and any required sales tax will have to be calculated when you contact us for a
License Agreement, so please include your mailing address. We're looking at the low price of the plans for the first 5 sets.
Sets 6 and onward might cost more due to the size of the prints and the number of pages we're seeing. As we've said
before, there are a number of detailed scaled drawings plus full-size prints of the sheet metal panels and all wing ribs,
making this a very big packet of information. Remember the builder's manuals for even more installation info.
NOTE: We've added the wing spanwise members. We still need to incorporate the ailerons. Kits builders won't notice, but if
you're building ailerons from scratch you're going to want the pending additional prints. Any added drawings, changes from
the first plans owners, or additional info/ideas we put in are going out to the plans holders free of charge.
We've lined up a supplier for the cowl, canopy skirt, wing tips, tail cone, cockpit "armrests" and the other composite parts.
This is the same supplier as before. Prices are getting worked out right now.
REMEMBER: we already have gear legs, truss kits, tail kits, wing kits, canopy bubbles, chutes, and numerous other
components lined up already.
What we have for aerobatic pilots and homebuilders:
DR-109
First up, we're offering the previously designed DR-109 to all of you who have been asking for it. It was hard to find for
awhile, but we've purchased the design and fab rights and are selling plans, parts, fuselage truss kits, wing kits, and more.
We've taken the builder's manuals from the original kits and digitized them, redrawn a majority of the parts, and
incorporated a few suggestions from the original builders to enhance the buildability and strengthen the main gear area.
The plans now include full-size patterns for the skins and panels, so you won't have to experiment with scaling the drawings
up. We're also continually updating the subsystems in the design, like the controls and tail group, to bring the weight down
and give you the best performance. the wing kits. We're bringing on new vendors for the machined parts and composites, too. We're
going to sell plans tart building the truss and wing with the manuals and our help.

Next is our own design that uses the M-14PF 400hp radial. Steel tube truss that's exceptionally easy to lay out and weld. A
wood skinned wing with an innovative spar to save weight over the box or built-up plank spars and avoid the fatigue
problems that are taking our friends away from us. A wire-braced tail to keep things simple, strong, and predictable. A
mess of design features for ease of inspection, access to the innards, better performance, and everything we've been trying
to put into our own airplanes for years. Expect this thing to beat the store-bought Russian airplanes with tons of extra
power/weight ratio for vertical, super-fast roll rate with full ailerons, and the strength to pull or push with two full-grown
people like you were flying a model from your lounge chair. The only thing you have to worry about is the stupid name we
gave it early on in life (about 8 years ago). We called it Peaches, our attempt at levity and to show that it performs so well it
won't need a killer name. We're starting with plans for the truss, wing, and metal parts for those of you who want to build
your own, then we'll get you the wing kit, follow up with a tubing kit for the truss , and then we'll sell you as many little parts
and brackets as you want, to keep you doing the fun bits and get you flying ASAP. You will be too busy grinning to care to
rename it once you roll it a couple times.
What the Future Holds
After these two projects are up and flying, we're going to have a problem. WHAT SHOULD WE DO NEXT?! Lots of folks
want to see the DR-108 made available. A couple folks want us to make a one-seater out of Peaches using the M-14PF, so
they can do shows and contests and take full advantage of that engine's low cost, great power-to-weight, and other
benefits. If you have an opinion, you need to let us know by e-mail.
Under New Projects you can see systems and parts that we've been working on. There's the new Top Secret wing spar that
ought to be through with testing before the end of August. There's the M-14 powered DR-109 variant. There's fire bottles
you should put into your own airplane. There's bound to be more. We'll put all the ideas that wake us up in the middle of
the night in this area of the site.
